Description: | A small shrub, sometimes low and spreading. Leaves simple and elliptical with margins entire. Oppositely arranged on branches, light green in colour and covered with very small prickles which also occur on the stem. The flowers are small with bright red and yellow petals. Flowers grow in a dense cluster sometimes forming a ball. (from Namibrand website) Petalidium setosum occurs as a small bush up to 50 cm high. During its growth foliage has a bright green, it becomes grayish blue in the dry season. Some stems are flattened, others are upright. The flowers are densely clustered at nodes.
