Description: Hairless, succulent, short-lived shrub or small tree, to 6 m. Young growth blue-green, sometimes with a waxy bloom. Leaves broadly lanceolate to elliptic or spathulate, thickly-textured, glaucous or green; petiole not winged. Flowers erect or pendent, in loose panicle-like inflorescences. Corolla 3-4 cm long, green, becoming yellow or orange, tube narrow, with a slight swelling near the apex and constricted slightly above and below the swelling. Fruit oblong-ellipsoid, 8-12 mm long, hairless, splitting above into 4 valves.
