Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets 8–17 x 5–14 mm, elliptic to obovate, rounded to retuse at the apex, cuneate to the base, usually densely puberulous at least beneath; petiole 3–13 mm long; stipules 1–2 mm long, attenuate-triangular. Racemes c. 5–25 cm long, laxly (6)12–20(30)-flowered; buds ascending; bracts 1–1.5 mm long, linear-lanceolate; bracteoles usually on the calyx, 1 mm long.
